International route Phnom Penh, Siem Reap – Bangkok by bus
In an effort to interconnect Cambodia and its neighbor country, Thailand, we are pleased to add new road routes between Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Bangkok by bus to our platform.
This integration follows our previous announcements of international bus routes from Vietnam to Cambodia with Giant Ibis, domestic bus routes in Cambodia with Mekong Express and international routes from Cambodia to Laos with AVT van service.
For this international link between Cambodia and Thailand by bus we are relying on our partners Giant Ibis, Mekong Express and Thero Express.
Travel from Phnom Penh to Bangkok by bus
Having their headquarters in the capital of Cambodia, the bus companies Mekong Express and Thero Express operate daily services from Phnom Penh to Bangkok (baolau.vn/s/Phnom-Penh/Bangkok) and from Bangkok to Phnom Penh (baolau.vn/s/Bangkok/Phnom-Penh).
On the way to the Northwest of Cambodia, buses stop in Pursat (baolau.vn/s/Phnom-Penh/Pursat), Battambang (baolau.vn/s/Phnom-Penh/Battambang) and Sisophon (baolau.vn/s/Phnom-Penh/Banteay-Meanchey) before crossing to Thailand through ‘Aranyaprathet – Poipet’ international border gate, where passengers are required to get off and complete immigration procedures.
Travel from Siem Reap to Bangkok by bus
Giant Ibis and Mekong Express operates a daily service from Siem Reap to Bangkok (baolau.vn/s/Siem-Reap/Bangkok) and from Bangkok to Siem Reap (baolau.vn/s/Bangkok/Siem-Reap).
Half way, buses stop in ‘Aranyaprathet – Poipet’ international border gate, where passengers are required to get off and complete immigration procedures.
With the addition of these two routes we improve our coverage of road transportation in Southeast Asia region.
Baolau connects with the booking system of Giant Ibis, Mekong Express and Thero Express and allows users to book online, pay with credit card and receive the e-tickets by email, ready board the bus. In order to comply with immigration procedures at the border, passengers must carry their passports with valid visas (when required). The bus companies reserve the right to deny boarding if the passenger fails to present the travel documents.
Giant Ibis buses are equipped with Wi-Fi internet, electrical outlet for charging your mobile phone, complimentary water and snacks, and comfortable legroom.
Mekong Express and Thero Express operate mini vans with capacity for 15 passengers. Vehicles are equipped with air/con and entertainment system.
